Here at Digi Media, we are obsessed with anything to do with the digital universe. We have watched the slow rise of digital mediums, like phones, game consoles, e-books – not to mention the internet – and we now know it’s the time for digital. Each day people are coming up with new and inventive uses for digital media, whether it’s in the work place or in the home.

In the early 90′s, digital media as we know it didn’t exist. Internet use was just becoming accepted by major corporations and mobile phones were left without even a camera. Gaming was on the rise, but still very poor quality and semi-expensive – with a much smaller target market, e-books didn’t yet exist. But as the internet built in popularity, similarly it began to affect all other industries which were co-related. The photography industry slowly began to reinvent itself, with a mix of new digital photography and ways to capture great quality film that was produced in seconds, television and radio began offering higher quality programming, which would then lead to the digital channels we have access to now, and the gaming industry was suddenly booming, the new greater quality of graphics they could afford attracting larger and larger markets.

So as you can see, we are heading into an age where digital media is all encompassing and wide spread, that’s why we want to build a community for appreciation and sharing of everything related to digital media.
